Recover abandoned carts
15 min read
Set up an automated sequence to recover 10-15% of abandoned carts.
3-email strategy
Email 1 - After 1 hour
Simple reminder: "You forgot something". Show cart products with images. No discount yet.
Email 2 - After 24 hours
Add urgency: "These items are in high demand". Include a customer review of a product in the cart.
Email 3 - After 72 hours
Last attempt with incentive: free shipping or 10% off. Create a sense of last chance.
Configuration
- Trigger: "Checkout Started" (cart created)
- Exclusion condition: "Placed Order" (completed purchase)
- Dynamic block: Cart products with images
Tip
Don't offer a discount in the first email. Many customers will complete without incentive - protect your margins.
